Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Renewal Course

Optional BLS Renewal: You may renew your BLS Provider eCard when you take this class.  BLS recertification during PALS requires additional skills testing and taking the written exam.  This option saves money and about 3 hours compared to the regular BLS class.

Prerequisites:

This is a RENEWAL course.  If you do not have a current PALS certification or this is your first time taking PALS, you need the BLENDED PALS skills (Purchase the HeartCode PALS at eLearning.Heart.org)

Must be proficient in BLS Skills AND complete the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work through  https://elearning.heart.org/course/426  Bring your precourse Self-Assessment that shows your score to class. 

 

Written Exam(s)  The PALS written test is 50 questions.  IF renewing BLS, an additional 25-question test will be administered.  There are 2 attempts allowed to score 84% or better to pass the final assessment(s).  It is open-book.

If you order a PAPER book, you will recieve your book at class check-in.  You may call our office at 330-415-4401 to make arrangements to pick up your book sooner at our North Canton office.

You are required to have the current 2020 textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one at 1st Choice CPR-bring it with you to class.
